System Test Technician

Job Duties

  • Reading and interpreting engineering prints and electrical schematics
  • Building electrical control panels
  • Wiring electrical control panels and components
  • Changing electrical enclosures as needed
  • Testing electrical components
  • Keeping organized and on schedule
  • Assembling components per engineering drawings​

The background of the successful candidate must include the following:

  • Three or more years of electrical control panel building experience
  • Three or more years reading and interpreting electrical schematics
  • Three or more years of reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Possess a solid work history
  • Being a US citizen or green card holder

Pay Range: $22.00- $25.00

CAD/Designer

Requirements:

  • SolidWorks manufacturing designer with 2 or more years of experience.
  • SolidWorks weldments and routing-piping experience preferred.
  • SolidWorks PDM data management experience helpful.
  • SolidWorks FEA and Sheetmetal helpful.
  • CADLink experience a plus.
  • Prefer experience in a custom made-to-order environment in the fabricated metal products industry.
  • Involvement in large system mechanical assembly design.
  • Solid mechanical background.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Education and/or Experience:

  • SolidWorks 3D Design experience – two plus years.
  • SolidWorks Administrator experience a great plus.
  • Two or four year degree in a 3D design related field.
  • AutoCAD drafting experience helpful but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $28.00 – $31.00 per hour

Field Service Technician

Job Description:
This full time opportunity is for a Field Service Technician at a custom machine manufacturer. Oberlin Filter is looking for a dynamic person with strong mechanical and electrical skills to join our team of field service technicians to perform start-ups, customer training, and maintenance work on our custom filtration systems. Service trips typically last 2-4 days instead of weeks or months. This person would also work in our facility doing electrical prep work and checkout for our systems.

The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:

  • Perform service at customer facilities in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems under varied conditions at customer locations
  • Set up, adjust, and operate test equipment to determine nature of problems
  • Make necessary travel arrangements in preparation of service trips
  • Calibrate and perform maintenance on equipment
  • Test equipment to ensure operation is in compliance with specifications
  • Act as a technical resource to customers
  • Prepare necessary reports upon completion of service trips
  • Assist production by working on the shop floor or other departments as needed

The background of the successful candidate must include the following:

  • Ability to work well independently
  • 18 years old or older
  • Valid US driver’s license and US Passport
  • Ability to pass background checks and random drug screens
  • At least two years of experience in an electrical and mechanical background
  • Ability to pass HUET certification and Gulf safety trainings
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and other employees
  • Prefer a candidate with a technical degree in a related mechanical or electrical field, but we will consider someone with a high school diploma and the right attitude and desire to learn

Pay Range: $28-$30 / Hour
