Fracking Wastewater Filtration 

The Oberlin Filter provides high volume water filtration for hydraulic fracturing.  Our filter is an extremely effective liquid solid separation filter that can remove 99.99% of solids down to 1 micron in size.   Filtered flowback and produced water with high levels of TSS can be recycled and reused in the well. 

 

The Oberlin Filter’s effectiveness has been demonstrated with flowback and produced  water from the Barnett, Eagle Ford and Marcellus Shales.  The filter greatly reduced the NTU from 1,000 down to 4. The filter can be used on site in a mobile unit or at a water treatment center.  The filter does not require any filter aids and has a low cost operation.

 

The Oberlin Filter’s simple yet effective design uses pressure to force the wastewater through a reusable belt. The filter’s completely automated design provides clean water and dry solids without an operated needed, greatly minimizing exposure to hazardous materials. The filtered solids are extremely dry with no dewatering necessary. Backwashing or flushing is not required.  The filter’s rugged design allows it to be used in extreme environments and applications.
